Assistant Set Designer

Joy Chen is a performance designer and maker based in Bristol and Shanghai. She gained her MA in Performance Design from the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in 2023, where she was honoured with the John Elvery Award.

Theatre as designer includes: The Crazy Talk (Shanghai Fangcun Theatre); Holes (Wardrobe Theatre) and invited to the 10th Wuzhen International Theatre Festival.

Theatre as technical liaison includes: Great Theatre of China International Theatre Festival (2018-2019).
