JULIUS CAESAR

"As he was valiant, I honour him; but, as he was ambitious, I slew him"

Julius Caesar holds the might of Rome in the palm of his hand. But as his ambitions swell, resentment and conspiracy grow and the fall of one Emperor gives rise to a bitter battle for succession.

Phyllida Lloyd returns to the Donmar with a radical, all-female interpretation of Shakespeare’s most brutal evocation of the precarious nature of power.
