A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE

By Tennessee Williams
23 July – 3 October 2009

When Blanche DuBois, a fragile relic of a bygone era, arrives in New Orleans to visit her pregnant sister and brother-in-law, she is running short of options.  Tensions rise, culminating in a confrontation between the faded southern belle and the rough and tumble Stanley, who questions her appearance on his doorstep.  Will Stanley destroy Blanche's last chance at happiness?

Tennessee William's masterpiece is a tale of repression, desire and jealousy in a post industrial age.

The highly celebrated creative team from Parade return to the Donmar Warehouse.
