THE CRYPTOGRAM

By David Mamet
12 October – 25 November 2006

Kim Cattrall and Douglas Henshall team up in the Donmar Warehouse production of David Mamet’s gripping family drama, directed by Josie Rourke.

John cannot sleep.  He is afraid to go to sleep.  He doesn’t understand what is happening or why his father hasn’t returned home. Mamet's compelling play charts the breakdown of a family, pinpointing the moment when childhood suddenly vanishes.

David Mamet is one of America’s most distinctive voices - ’The finest American playwright of his generation’ Sunday Times.  His previous plays include Oleanna, Sexual Perversity in Chicago, A Life in the Theatre and Glengarry Glen Ross.  The Cryptogram won the prestigious Obie Award for Drama when it was first performed.
